You dont really need the app to listen to feeds. Just use your web browser and go to m.radioreference.com.

It's the best droid scanner app out there, but it's not new at all. Good review otherwise. You need to buy it.

After posting it I realized it was not new; thanks for watching the review and hope you gave me a thumbs up on there. What features does the pro version have.

I broke down and bought Scanner Radio Pro. The free version is good, but the Pro version gives you a couple more nice features. I've never had any problems with the app.

I'm a newbie here. Just installed droidx scanner radio free app. Works perfectly. Wish it had more channels in our area. Your you-tube convinced me that I need the pro version. Thanks.

Neat app. Just tried it on my Skytex Skypad Alpha. I have a lot of the audio that sounds like Donald Duck and it doesn't sound like inversion audio. Maybe something with the audio compression??? Sounds more like the d/a timing.....
Any ideas?

Thanks, I've been using this app for over a year now, probably the best app on my phone! I especially enjoyed listening to the space shuttle launches, also great for listening to current events that are not in my area...earthquakes, tornadoes, and other natural disasters... and so much more

I think I may have a problem with the Scanner Radio app on my Skytex Alpha. I can listen to streams on RR just fine but the same streams sound like super fast audio using the Scanner Radio app, not all streams though. Some are ok.....

Wonderful Application

I love this application and have been using it for quite some time now. I first downloaded it using my old BlackBerry Storm, where I first discovered how cool and useful this handy little app was. Then put it on my Moto Droid and finally on my Moto Droid-X.

I also love the "custom" configuration built into this app and frequently use it to monitor my own home scanners without publishing them for the masses to hear. This is clearly a great tool :)

You may not need an app, but it makes it so much nicer than going through the web browser to do it. I like being able to have it going in the background while doing other stuff on my phone.

I don't use it very often, but its nice to have it when i need it.

I have an app on my ipod touch for streaming RR as well!

All Good

Can anyone else with the app on Android check out Palm Beach County, FL Fire, I'm getting some strange "Beeps/Blips" when there is no traffic.

I too checked it out just now and haven't noticed what you described. I've only been listening in for about 15 minutes so far but everything sounds normal with no beeps or blips aside from normal dispatch generated noises.

Must have been something going on at the time you experienced the issue because it's not present now :)

It must be something with my phone then because it continues when I listen trough the app but not when i go to the mobile webpage or when i listen to it on my computer.
