I’ve seen a few interesting videos on YouTube demonstrating using RTL SDR with an OTG adapter on an android phone or tablet getting pretty impressive results. Almost every video is more than 5 years old and the android radio apps they were using don’t appear to be available anymore. SDR++ was used in one of the videos but I couldn’t find it in the Google Play Store. Has anyone played around with this and get it to work properly? Any recommendations for a current available android SDR app that works well would be greatly appreciated

Rarely bother with sdr and cell phone due to terrible battery life. However, if you are after sdr++ then the download is direct from github rather than the gargoyle store thing:

AS the other guy says, it is still available from the right place he listed. Others I know and I have used and as he noted, battery life of cell phone is and always will be an issue with any such device (hint, bring along your charger). I tried another app, but SDR++ was the best for this.

Thank you for the link! I installed it on Windows to test it out. Nice simple SDR app. Very easy to set up. I probably won’t use it on Android very much as my battery life is terrible to begin with. It just looked like an interesting project to try out (& I bought a couple of OTG cables earlier in the year and never really had a use for them. I’ll post my results after I test it out. Many thanks for your assistance
