Scanner radio app

Any scanner buffs use the "scanner radio" app? I have not been able to receive push notifications from them in a couple of months. Anyone else having this issue or have any suggestions for me?All the settings look correct. This occurred without any warning.

I have been using the pro version of the Android 'Scanner Radio' app (you don't say what OS you use) for more than 5 years, but I don't recall receiving many push notifications. I don't see the need for them, but that's me. The Play store updates are done automatically. Perhaps you turned notifications off, or an OS upgrade toggled a setting? Have you checked the app settings and global settings?

settings are set. i an using an iphone 5SE. i have a software update to do. should i try that?

Other than notifications, what is the advantage of using Scanner Radio app rather than Broadcastify app?

to be honest, because of my cerebral palsy and being legally blind, the broadcastify app is not the best app for me. i would use 5-0 radio, put there are things i don't like about the app.

Further update

Did the software update at midnight. Did not help. i'm looking for an app that would do streaming and send out alerts when something big happens

Seems like an IOS compatability issue.
I too have the scanner radio app by gordon on my Galaxy S7 edge and got several notifications over the weekend about the shooting.
Untill you mentioned it i had not realized my iPhone 7 plus did not get the notifications. Same app set up same way.

I would try to contact the developer and see if they know about it.

EDIT Just realized that on iOS the alerts are default off. Lower left corner, Alerts, click that, notification comes on with Configure Alerting at the bottom, click that, then you have Listener Alerts and Broadcastify Alerts. Both of mine are off.

You may want to look into the PulsePoint App too.

Scanfan22 - NOPE, Scanner apps are Severe limited in what they can do, no replacement for a Good CR or a Scanner that is Programmed Correctly. Scanner apps are used by casual users than don't want the Bulk of a Standalone Receiver/Scanner. with Scanner apps, you don't have the specific Frequency selection nor do you have much selectivity in tearms of what you want to Listen to.
