I'm planning another trip down south through Gerogia I-95. What sites and talkgroups do I need to program in to the PSR-500 to monitor GA State Police along that route ?

Also, any counties worth adding in along the way to keep me occupied ? I'm looking mostly at trunked 800 systems with decent coverage since I'll be using the handheld

Just enter all of the freqs from this link:
State Patrol Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

Be advised, you will most likely not hear much unless they are close to you. You might hear some down around Glynn and Camden counties, thats the only places I have ever heard anything from them on my trips down the I-95 corridor. Also if you drive at night, they like to slowly come up behind you and match speed with you. They will follow you for miles so be cautious if you drive at night, they have done this every time I have driven at night through the state. Watch your speed and safe travels.

The most active frequency is the 154.680 dispatcher. 154.800 is the mobile. There is a new frequency of 765.4375/PL 156.7 being used for their car repeaters. There has been a lot of activity lately. They use 'slicktop' black, sillver, blue cars. Just this past Sunday saw a black pickup. They were running a bunch of cars north and south on I-85 north of Atlanta.

Since its been a few years and I'm making the drive again, I was wondering if anything has changed from my original post. Again, traveling I-95 through the State so I'm looking for updated GSP frequencies or talkgroups on trunked systems they use.

It looks like Rincon and Hinesville are on SEGARRN covering Chatham, Bryan, Liberty and McIntosh counties. What about Glynn and Camden counties?
