Not sure my last message went out. I am in Lowell, MA and retired lived here for 3 years
Have you considered that the problem may be with the Lowell PD system and not the Uniden scanner? I'm too far from Lowell to hear it at home, but I hear Lexington, N. Attleboro, Waltham, and some other systems without problem. I also hear the Boston 700 Mhz Overlay system. That's all on a 436HP with a 15 year old outside antenna/cable combination.

As I stated in my original thread I have a 396T and with the P25 for Lowell and there is no problem with receiving any transmissions. I have put a couple of P25 (NHSP A & B Troops) and I haven't received anything on them but with the 396T they come in loud and clear
Then you might have a hardware problem, as in a defective component or components. Have you discussed that with Uniden?

As I stated before I have had 3 conversations with customer service. The problem with them is when you call them the average wait time on the phone is about 45 minutes.
Did you tell them that you suspect a hardware problem and would like to send the scanner in for repair?

Their hoping you go away and won't have to deal with you, it can be frustrating.
I live in the town next to Lowell, Chelmsford, and am having the same issue with my BCD436HP. I use my pro 96 which works awesome and has no issue with Lowell PD. Unfortunately, Lowell is the one exciting channel to listen to other than state police.
