Pro-668: Screen Locked up

My screen is locked up and will not connect to the computer. The screen pops up saying
uP BootVer:RF1.1
CPU SW Upgrade:
Waiting for USB

Anybody have any information on how to fix this?

What were you attempting to do when this happened? knowing this will allow me to point you to the proper fix.

Just turned it on and this popped up. Tried to connecting to the computer and it would not recognize it.

Unhook the cable.
Remove batteries.
Reinstall batteries.
Press and hold menu while pressing the power button.
Reconnect cable.
Reinstall firmware.

This should have you up and working again.

You are in firmware (CPU) update mode. Download the tool Eric made for adding DMR and use it to reinstall the 668 firmware or load ws1080 v3.8 firmware to add several things including DMR.

Plug into EZ scan and do the update. You can then fix it with the tool.
EZ Scan does not require you to specify a comm port.
Assuming of course you installed the .inf file previously for the drivers.

He needs to use the RS Iscan software to reload his firmware, or use Eric's app to load factory firmware the he can use EZ scan to upgrade

Uh Oh OTA disable

Uh Oh it's happening. Whistler is sending out the OTA disable signal, probably over several DMR frequencies. Our "updated" radios are history. Oh well it was nice while it lasted.

"Fell out" as in "sick"? How does an SD card "fall out"?
