SDRPlay SDR Play RSP1 serial number

How to I find the correct serial number for my SDR Play RSP1? There is a label on the bottom of my unit with its supposed serial number. But I am trying to use it with DSDPlus Fastlane, and the FMPP.cfg file expects a 10 digit serial number, which mine isn't. Mine has "RSP", hashtags (#) and decimal points mixed in, which FMPP.cfg doesn't accept.

Go to Device manager,click on sounds,video and game controllers, double click SDRplay , click the events tab, your 10 digit number should be in the information window

Thanks; I wouldn't have thought to look under sounds, video and game controllers in Device Manager. The serial number is just nine zeros and a one.

The serial number is just nine zeros and a one.

As is mine and that's the value I use in FMPP.cfg.

I tried that. The number given there is not a 10 digit number. I did use 0000000001 for the serial number in FMPP.cfg, and it works, as slicerwizard pointed out.

FWIW, I downloaded this RSP-Spectrum Analyzer program. It does work, but my device, under "RSP Select", is shown as "RSP1" with no serial number shown, even in the dropdown list. But a serial number of 0000000001 works with FMPP.cfg, so not really an issue.

So, now you know why your RSP1 doesn't have an official serial number; none were assigned to that model.

Good you found a way to work around that.
