Hi,

Have just tried out for the first time SDR++ on my mac.
Running Airspy HF+ Discovery.

Pretty much most anywhere <30 MHz the baseline is jumping
up and down.
Perhaps +/- 5 db or so.
This 10 db bounce makes it pretty much unusable.

Any ideas what might be causing it ?
Am probably, as usual, missing something with all of the options, but no idea what.

The Airspy works just fine in Windows with SDR#

Thoughts ?

Regards,
Bob

On my Macbook I've just upgraded SDR++ from v1.1.0 to 1.2.0. I haven't had time to play around with it but just had a look and can see what you describe on some bands, not all. Did you get this latest version? I wonder if there is a bug?

Hello,

Have just started to use SDR++. (SDRpp) on my mac with an Icom R8600 radio.

Nice software. It's so good to find anything that works with radio on a mac, other than SDRControl.
I have read the Manual, but have the following, please:

So, regarding SDR++:

a. Is there any way to tune the radio (assuming comms set up correctly) from
a database like eibi directly ?

b. Any way of having eibi, or other db frequencies, show on the Spectrum view ?

c. A link to the available community plugins would be most appreciated.
I can't find one ?

Any hints, or suggestions, re using SDR++ would be most appreciated ?

Totally new user with, and am sure that I am missing, as usual, many features, etc.?

Thanks,'
Bob

I may be wrong, but believe you will need the remote software for the tuning.
Once you pipe the audio into SDR you will have all the features except for the tuning.
I found SDR++ quite easy to use, almost self explanatory. It comes with several useful plugins, and there are others in the wild.

Hello,

Will blame my problems on old age now.

Would be most grateful for any helop.

Have been using SDR++ with an Airspy HF+ Discovery on a mac.
Have gotten to like it a lot.

a. GitHub is completely beyond me these days. Probably an older version.
Is there a link that someone would post here that would give me the latest version please - for a mac ?

b. Are there any "community packages," or add-ons ?

c. Possible to use with an Icom R8600 ?

Much thanks,
Bob
