Just ordered my 1st one, RTL-SDR. Anyone using one here in minnesota with good luck?

I have been using a sdrs’s for over 5 years now. First was using DSDplus from Unitrunker.
Now I use DSDPlus fast lane on 1 machine and Unitrunker 2 on my other. Unitrunker 2 I use to monitor ARMER - Hennepin East and City Center primarily.
DSDplus Fastlane I bounce around with between the following: ANCOM North Metro DMR, ANCOM Metro DMR, Communications Management Group Minneapolis DMR, ARMER Hennepin East, City Center.
I use DSD plus Fastlane with receiver from SDR + for frequency hunting.
I have been very please with what I am able to receive with my SDRs.

Got mine up and running today. Tuned into NOAA to insure I can here something. Worked fine. Wasn't able to listen to anything else though when I was scanning. I see some of the plug ins are russian as I cannot read the description. Are these safe to use?
