I can't seem to find the entry for the plugins.xml file...did I miss it on the Github site?

I started by downloading/installing Release 1 then downloading Release 3. Release 1 contains all the files needed for initial setup. Use the files in the later release to replace the original files in Release 1.

If you are using a recent copy of sdrsharp no entry is required.
This plugin is not designed for older versions of sdrsharp.
Download the latest release (r3 at the moment). Extract the downloaded archive to your 'plugins' directory and then run sdrsharp - the plugin should show in the menu as shown by the screenshots on the git page.

There is no need to do this - you only need the newest release build and not the older files.

The reason I did this is was because there were additional files included in Release 1 that were not included in release 3 --

...and the reason I said you don't need to do it like that is because you don't ;)

The RELEASE archives are complete so you can delete those earlier files from your /Plugins/SdrSharpPocsagPlugin/ directory leaving only the newest versions of the two currently required files.

Thanks for the response...I somehow got plunked down in the middle of a (this?) thread and missed the part about needing a more recent version. I still have nightmares about the last time I did a major upgrade of SDR# (frequencies file compatibility issues), so I'll just find another computer to use as a test bed. This will be my official excuse to try a 18xx version anyway...

r4 is out now:

  • CAP codes should now be displayed correctly
  • Numeric decoding implemented (also handles tone messages)
  • Message type column added
  • Timestamps now include seconds
  • De-duplicate, hide bad decode and clear UI added

I am running SDR# 1.0.0.1830 on windows 10, downloaded the plugin and extracted directly into the plugins folder in my sdr# directory and can not see it from the sdr# menu. The plugins xml file has nothing in it regarding the pocsag plugin, but i did not thing that was required for newer versions. Any ideas of what i am doing wrong?

Hello, everyone,
I have a question about the pocsag plugin.
I have SDR# (1855) and the plugin on my PC (Win 7 / 64bit).
In the "Plugins" folder are the two dll files from the R5 release.
The plugin works so far, but 98% of the time it only displays unreadable hieroglyphs.
The pocsag transmission is NOT encrypted. It looks like the correct character set is missing.

What are the three numeric values at the upper right (left of the Clear button)? They default to 92, 46, and 23. Trying to decode the one POCSAG transmission I could find, it worked properly for values <= 45, getting progressively more errors and gibberish in the decoded message as I increased it above 45.

To clarify, I was talking about the center value (46 default, <= 45 working).

I know i'm a little late to the conversation, but I am having the same issue with missing characters (getting that square thing when it detects unicode but doesn't recognize the character), Does anyone know what character set is missing? On the one frequency I've been able to decode actual text from it ends every message with one.

I'm also late in the convo, but I'm at my wits end trying to get this plugin to work, or even PDW for that matter. The only thing I can figure out is that these must not be POCSAG signals. Can someone here please confirm that these frequencies listed here on radioreference are actually POCSAG signals or not? They don't sound like the POCSAG signals I hear in the YouTube videos I've watched, but they seem to be the only hospital pager frequencies listed for my area.
Thanks in advance for your assistance and advice.
