It has its peculiarities. I found that scanning a memory bank only works in one mode. If the memories in the bank contain mixed modes it doesn't switch modes to accommodate the memory. There also seems to be certain combinations of mode/step size that will crash the program. When autoloading memories it can load the frequency too early, such as not being centered on FM signals. But the scan feature has helped me populate various band groups near me such as aircraft, sheriff's office, military, etc. that are actually active.
The default IF is now set to Low IF rather than Zero IF. In my case, this has helped a lot with intermodulation issues I have here in Tampa. I have noticed that the program will force bandwidth settings when entering certain frequencies. As an example, I like to set a 200 KHz bandwidth by pressing the 160 meter band button and then I enter 29.600 MHz to display the FM portion of 10 meters. The program widens the bandwidth greatly now and won't allow the 200 KHz setting. I haven't noticed if this also occurs on other manually entered frequencies.
All in all I like the new version. I'm sure it will be polished and refined over time.
