SDS 200 Flickering Screen

After 3 years of occasional use ( 2 to 5 hours a day) and without any warning , my Stationary SDS 200 screen starting to flicker .As previously documented and reported by other users this is not an SD card , power down or changing power location issue . will be shipping it for screen repair .

My SDS200 had a screen that flickered for several months and just stopped. It's still not a big issue, but I didn't want to send it into Uniden and lose it for a month or more.

Thanks, as I understand it, this issue stems from the loose ribbon caused by the units inside heat. Apparently It comes and goes.I understand that any electronic equipment may fail in time, however this is a known issue and should have been addressed by the manufacture.

I received my SDS 200 back from the Uniden repair. The process of the shippings and the LCD ground wire repair was around 2 and half weeks . In addition to the flickering screen repair they also replaced the volume and menu knobs . Note to myself , next time pull the SD card prior to sending for repair as it came back corrupted .

I had the problem but dimming the screen stopped the flicker at 50% give it a try!!
