On Scanner.... Menu ---> Display options ---> backlight options

In Sentinel.... Profile editor ---> display options

I tried out that procedure. Works great! Thanks,

While holding on a frequency or talkgroup, press the top Function button on the left side of the scanner and then 5 DIM on the keypad. Scroll to brightness level desired and press E. Press AVOID to exit menu.
