SDS100 - Is the belt clip supposed to come off when you rotate it upside down?

Probably a dumb question but not sure why they would do that since you can also just press in the release tab.

That's the way older radios with a 'D' rings worked.

If it is like my BCD 436, that is how you remove it if you don't want to use it, which I dont.

If you use the hard leather carry case from Scanner Master the plastic disk on the radio used for the belt clip should be left on the radio to act as a standoff, keeping the case away from the scanner in order to allow for air circulation… a concern with the SDS100 due to the heat it must dissipate caused by the microprocessor. The BCD436 doesn’t have that heat issue so the leather case if it fits snugly to the radio.
