Curious, is there a ‘service menu’ where you can change the tone - bass and treble for the internal speaker?

No there is not anything like this in the SDS150 scanner

Now that I've had the 150 for a while, I wish Uniden had made the bottom of the radio without the taper, if only just to be able to put a little bigger speaker in it. When I'm in the car, I use the bluetooth to play the audio through my car's sound system, and that works really well, but like so many radios I've owned over the last 40 years or so, the speaker is kinda dinky and weak. I know it can't be too big for power consumption reasons, but another few millimeters would be a big help. I remember the original speaker in the RS Pro 43, I replaced a lot of them with the improved speaker with (I think) double the power rating. I found a yet better one on Digi-Key, and I kept a spare one of those, figuring on my 43 needing one, but it never happened, and the 43 is long gone, but fondly remembered as one of the all time greats.
