The functionality is 100% dependent on how you have it set up - (how much effort you put into it).
For example: My 100(s) and 200 switch what is being monitored as I cross state / county / city / even reservation boundaries - wherever I go in 2 states. Very slick.
Yet how do you know the GPS is RX
i have location in all lists to 0 range
I customize the screen for the Lat & Lon
shows nothing except NO GPS
so it seems some of us are so clue less, start again guys
1 charge the batteries, 2 turn unit on , 3 find the full data base, 4 plug in the GPS..........
plug and pray
In the detailed screen, I see GPS on the bottom row of the screen, just above DEPT.
If the baud rate is wrong, the GPS doesn't have lock, or it's not connected I don't see it.

In your detailed screen(s), set a field up to be "GPS". This will give you an icon that then tells if you have the GPS 'talking' to the radio.
If yes, then it is a matter of no signal lock. Wait a bit and/or get the GPS somewhere where it has an unobstructed sky view. It takes a bit to first download the data.
If no GPS icon (after setting it up in the detail(s) screen(s), you have an issue with the GPS communication with the radio. You need to check the baud rate in location control and change it to either 4800 or 9600. One should work.
Worst case scenario is the physical connection between the GPS and the radio.
