You may need one of these:

Isolation Transformer

It has helped others here on RR

Just be advised this Isolation Transformer is a high impedance device which most are.
I bought one and took it apart. Bless those Chinese, it's well made. I measured 100 ohms (INPUT) to 80 ohms (OUTPUT) between in/out.
The printed circuit board has the input and output marked but it's not marked on the case.
With the MPOW WORD ON THE CASE THE M is on the output side. I read in the remarks on this product that the input and output jacks are a different size.
Not made to stick into your SPEAKER OUTPUT 8 OHM JACK with probably around 3 to 8 watts of audio at full volume.
Probably work OK on the earphone jack.

Conventional wisdom and standards would dictate that the MALE end is the input and the FEMALE is the output. (Think "Extension Cord")

Are the jack and plug different sizes? (Can you plug the male INTO the female?)

Good to know it's well-made. Did it work?

I got two of the Mpow Ground Loop Noise Isolator for Car Audio/Home Stereo System with 3.5mm Audio Cable (Black) for my 536's. The units I purchased have two female jacks, one on each end that appear to be the same size. They also came with a short 3.5mm male/male cable.

Unfortunately, they produced a great deal of noise when the scanner was scanning and highly distorted audio when landing on a channel. I purchased them to hopefully eliminate the loud "POP" when powering up the 536's. If they're not designed to work on the audio out jack and only the earphone jack, I suppose they going back to Amazon.

It has what appears to be a 3.5mm female socket on each end. I took mine apart, I usually do on allot of the Cheap Chinese C. . p. The PC board has Input and output marked, the case does not have any markings. I measured with an ohm meter 100 ohms input and 80 ohms output. Someone on Amazon reviews said the jacks were different sizes, one a 2.5 the other a 3.5mm.
I'm still testing the device.
I found my best audio, SDS200 using earphone jack output and the isolation transformer 75 feet of CAT 5 wire into computer speakers in my bedroom. (My Command Post).
The clearest audio I've heard out of the SDS200 so far. Enough playing for today.

Any speaker will do. I have an MFJ attached to mine at home and my friend has the same. Of course our base units do not hum or pop or whatever. Just good clean audio. Of course the stock speaker in the unit sounds good....for stock of course

My intention to add the isolation xfmr was to hopefully avoid the very loud POP when I power on either/both of my 536's. Its definitely a power thing that, for whatever reason, when the unit(s) power on some sort of spike is sent out to the rear audio jack.
