So I have my sds200 is wired into my laptop and it runs great with ProScan no audio problems or connectivity problems, so I have it all set up to do remote scanner on the web browser when I’m connected to my Wi-Fi but as soon and I turn Wi-Fi off or leave the Service area it stops working on the web browser so am I missing something do I need to set up a static IP address to be able to access it outside my network

To access the radio from outside of your network, you need to use DDNS.

Bob could tell you if ProScan does this for you, (I haven't done it, so I don't know).

Yes you need to setup a static ip address on your local system like 192.168.1.100 for the mac address of the sds200 in your router, then you need to setup Port Forwarding on your router such as 192.168.1.100:5000. Then setup a DDNS like No-IP so if your router IP changes when rebooted or power loss, you can access the sds200 outside your network. Just follow the instructions in Proscan manual, and instructions in your router manual for setting up Port Forwarding.

Once you get the DDNS set up you can test the feed with a website called canyouseeme.org. then you’ll know it’s getting out over the internet. Also be sure to use good passwords. It’s really not that hard to set this up. All the steps are on youtube.

You need the static IP (or DHCP reservation) and port forward going to the machine running ProScan, not the scanner.

You’ll also want the scanner to have a static IP (or DHCP reservation).
