Back in the day, one of the early conversations as to why the SDS series scanners didn't have Bluetooth or WiFi was because of the RFI from the modules making just this kind of interference. This was well before the 150 and its redesigned RF section.

Good morning,

I swapped the SD card after the “digital hash” noise presented itself last evening.

The SDS200 been on all night, and so far this morning it’s working as designed.

It seems the SD card was the culprit…

Thanks for all your advice and comments…

I will continue to monitor the monitor… and will post with an update…

SD card problems can cause the scanner to do some strange things...
There are alot of threads here that show swapping the SD card out fixed a problem that you would think otherwise...

In many cases it is the filter settings that have been touched and altered and when swapping SD card you get a fresh new default configuration with different settings of the filters. Try the old SD card and just reprogram it fully with favorites as well as all profile settings that the new SD card are using.
