SDS200 unit ID

I have been setting up my new scanner. I see there is an option for UID on conventional and trunking. As I sit here any type I can see the state P25 trunking system and the IDs populate. However on the local sheriffs office which is conventional and using MDC1200 I see nothing. I do not see any mention in the manual about the ability to decode MDC1200. Do I have this correct?

Yes. MDC1200 and P25 are two entirely different creatures. The scanner, I believe, will not "translate/decode" MDC signalling, just P25.

I think it will pick it up, but NOT Decode it.
