The Charlotte / Mecklenberg County and Concord / Cabarrus County systems are separate, so you'll have to monitor both systems.

If you are referring to an event at the Speedway, the majority of the local trunked communications will be on the Concord / Cabarrus system, but some comms will also be on the Charlotte / Mecklenberg system.

In terms of "sites," the same frequencies are used across all three Cabarrus Co sites, so you can't "choose" a particular site. I presume the Harrisburg site might have a stronger control channel signal in the speedway area ... depending on where you stand.

The same basically holds true for Mecklenberg County, since you're too far from the micro sites to receive them. The site at the Motorola service center on I-85 N covers the speedway area of Mecklenberg Co. Look north on I-85 after you cross I-77 and you'll see the towers ahead.

Don't forget to include the 800 MHz conventional ITAC channels in your monitoring.
