Did you get Sentinel installed and did you get the correct one? There is one for Home Patrol scanners and one for BCDx36 ond SDSx00 scanners.

And for future quick reference, the procedures for updating the firmware and the database are detailed in your SDS200 owner's manual on pages 10 & 11.

You don't download and install Net 2.0, go into Window's Features and activate the net 2.0 that is already there. You must also have the correct (536) version of Sentinel as others have mentioned.

You must put the SDS200 in Mass storage mode. With the SDS turned on, you plug the USB cable into your PC (also on) and then into the FRONT micro USB port and wait for the SDS to prompt you to hit the "E" key to put the SDS into mass storage mode. Then go update the firmware and database.

I know.. silly.. But RTFM

Thanks! I’ve read the manual ( pages 10-11 ) Can’t find the setup.exe file. The only files I can see are

I do have the correct one and it says it’s installed but I can’t figure out how to open it for some reason.

If it is actually already installed....

In your Windows Start Menu... Look for Uniden, and then the Sentinel icon under that...

If the file names are shown as listed, go into File Explorer, and select View from the choices near the top. Toward the top right side of the screen you should see check boxes for File Name Extensions and Hidden Items. Make sure these are checked and extensions like .exe should become visible. These instructions are from Win 10 which is all that I have.
