Hey ya'll

I'm trying to download the HP-2 Discovery Log onto the Discovery Log Viewer via Sentinel but when I try to import after I select my HP Device, it says the following:

All I am trying to do is just download saved audio recordings off of my HomePatrol-2 scanner to my PC. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Check the log directly from the scanners menu. It's probably a corrupt file on the SD card.

Before you do the read, when scanner are connected in mass storage mode, start Windows File Explorer and go to the folder on the SD card where the discovery folders are saved. Check if you can access the files by copying the folder to Windows and look if and where it stops with an error. You will have to delete the last file that are displayed and the following one on the SD card.

If you manage to get the rest of the files to Sentinel then do Clear User Data from Sentinel to reset the file system structure and program the scanner again. You could also use the SD Card Format program to really initialize the SD card and then do Clear User Data.

Oh I checked the Saved Recording on the HP-2 device itself and I can easily play it back and do whatever, but I will try right now to follow your steps and lyk what happens.

When I open file explorer, I don't see a folder anywhere just only these files 1699817267039.png

I also do get a prompt saying there's a problem w/ this drive and I can get it scanned/fixed. but after the message goes away and I open up the 'Properties' tab on the drive, it says it's working properly, so idk.,

Are you playing files in "saved recordings" by pressing, & holding down, Replay until you get a prompt to "Review Recordings"? If so, those are audio files created when you press the "Record" option on the display. Those are not recordings from a Discovery session.

Recordings from a Discovery session are saved in folder under the Discovery Folder, which lists each Discovery session that you've run. You cannot play those directly via the Replay item on the bottom of the display. Instead, you have to review by going into the Discovery menu on the scanner, then selecting Review Discovery Mode, and selecting the session you want to review. If you do run a Discovery session, when you download that into the viewer in Sentinel, you have the option download those from the scanner, as well as delete the copy on the scanner. Discovery is part of the features added by the Extreme Upgrade. Without having that upgrade on he scanner, you cannot create & review Discovery sessions.
