I am still new to programming my Pro 96, I have the Win 96, I want to program an analog motorola system http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=3408 I am not sure how to determine the base and the offset frequencies, and also the step size, I would appreciate any help. I also would like to program in the Racom system http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=1006 would I want to put all the south Dakota frequencies in or just the ones close to me?? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Well, as far as the Milbank Comm system goes, there is no base/offset/step you have to program, just put the frequencies (or indeed the control channel only) in and set the radio for Mot Type I system and set the fleetmap as depicted on the RR DB.

As for RACOM, the problem with it is that most of the sites use the same LCN's, so you can only have one site in each bank that uses LCN 12 for example. If you can find two sites that don't use the same LCN's that you want to put in one bank then do it. You may also find that some of the sites use the same frequencies (or at least overlap some) like the Lake Andes and Willow Lake sites, since they have the same frequencies, they are really the same setup.

I am still trying to figure out the racom system, I just program the Bemis, SD because that is the closest to me and I can hear the control channel. But I am not hearing anything at all.
Also on the Milbank Communication, I hear things and the talkgroup Id's come up just fine, but I am not sure how to set up the System Fleetmap, also where to put in Motorola Type 1. I am using Win 96 to program, I am enclosing a copy of my win 96 file if you would like to take a look at it and see what I am doing wrong that would be most helpful.
Thanks

Okay, attached to this post is your file altered a bit and renamed.

I fixed your RACOM entry by putting the frequencies in the proper LCN slots and also renamed them, just to keep things in order. Since I recognized a few banks of the information there ( seems like i remember that info pretty well ) I just copied my MilbankTRS out of my SD file I was using when I was there and put it in your Bank 8 leaving the rest of your file as it was.
