Hello everyone.

I'll be trying to update/restructure the SF Bay Area media page located here:
Media Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference

I don't know if much has changed from what is listed, but I saw a lot of generic listings for the news agencies and wanted to make a more accurate listing. YES... I already know the radio isn't used very much because of cell phones, but if anyone has anything to add/update/delete, please post here or made a submission to the DB.

Thanks

I posted this on your Sacramento thread as well, I'll be in the Bay the next couple days and will be able to submit some updates as well as connect with a couple of friends "in the know" and will update the db with new info.

Thank you. I try and listen on my remote around news time but don't hear much. I know channel 2 and channel 7 still use radio comms though.

KCBS' 161 mhz IFB frequencies are still active... Almost 24/7. They are BLOWTORCH stations that reach my handheld w/ rubber duck in my apartment in Sacramento on a good day. I haven't looked to see where the site for them actually is, but I'm willing to bet they are on Diablo.

Yup I'm hearing those all the time. One is weaker than the other. I'd look them up but RR doesn't show anything licensed and nothing shows up in the 450band either for the regular TV station licenses.

Picked up KPIX IFB tonight. That was a new catch.

Among the sites listed for the IFB frerq's is Rocky Ridge west of Damville.I don't see a license to utilize Mt. Diable for KKN755.

Well not the particular freq we are talking about that booms. It says locations 6 & 7 which is odd because there's no way I'm hearing it from embarcadero center or novato.

Maybe its under a different license?

you can't search for associated auxiliary licenses (licenses attached to the TV/radio broadcasting license) using the RR license search. FCCinfo.com is the search of choice for that.

I wouldn't be surprised if TV uses Radio's 450 and 161 licenses.

Apparently it's not on Diablo, it's in Novato or Embarcadero. Weird.
