• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Yup, some cats are plain nasty. Funny, I asked my neighbors kids to feed and water the dog and cat for the days I was at Indy (17 days) and they said no way to the cat, but did come over and give puppy water. They never have gotten too close to the cat, I guess her reputation proceeds her :)

From My QSL Card...

It get's pretty raw here in South Alabama sometimes so I have to ham dirty. The Glock 22 is self explainitory and the Systems Saber III, well, if you've ever had one, you know you can go upside someone's head with it easy and lay them out like red carpet. (Saber whipped!) I'd hate to shoot anyone but if the saber don't knock them out, the Glock will.

The problem there Mark is that I wouldn't someone else watching me 24/7, there are enough "others" watching us daily.
As for video 24/7, I do have my own setup, wireless won't work here with my present setup as I have my own own wireless for my laptops and cordless phones..... theres enough RF floating around this property :)
The neighbor kids have been trying to find the cameras for 6 months and don't beleive there are any.... and then I remind them that I knew they were there before they knocked on the door because I saw them as soon as they got in the yard :) Some day they may figure out where the cameras are..... maybe.

Hello Friends:

My mother had this doberman(Female),tha dog hated cats for real.
The dog cornered this cat in the backyard and kill it but by the time it was all over
the dog was a real mess in the face.

That doesn't aways work either. Not too far from where I live a woman had her throat slit, the stabbed to death and dumped in a lake. This happened in the driveway of her 3-million dollar home!

It doesn't matter what neighborhood you live in any more, but living in the sticks like I do does help. The neighbors all watch each other and you can tell who belongs and who doesn't pretty quickly.

Nope, but I should :) I couldn't find one so I got a beware of dog sign..... I may find the attack cat sign and put it at the entrance to the driveway. :)

I once watched 3 or 4 of my cats gang up on a dog and beat the poopie out of him. One smacked him first and the others piled on. He ran back home squealing and didn't come over anymore! After he ran off the cats kind of strutted around like "who's your daddy?"

I would be rich and famous if I'd been holding a video camera.

On the other hand I've known 2 female Rot's who wer the sweetest dogs you could ever want to know. Just as long as you didn't mess with their Papa!

Yup, my old Rot/Lab who died last year was really great, never bit anyone (although he did kill a pig, lots of snakes, a squirrel and a few birds) played with kids all the time. He caught a thief when he was just 6 mo old helping the cops get him before he got over a fence. Just don't mess with me or HIS truck and you were fine, he did have a few people he just didn't like though, and he dealt with them by walking up to them and peeing on them :) He was good at picking out the bad apples...... although HE picked the attack cat out of a litter of 8. I miss that ole dog, he was great!

A "new" Guard is learning the ropes

Well today a new member joined the guard force. Joing Cassie the now 110lb Rot/Pit and Hermy the 20lb attack cat is .... well, I don't have a name for him yet but it may wind up being Rambo as he immediately went after the Cassie and not the cat. He's about 8 weeks old and someone dumped him in an alley in Indy and a friend found him but he already has 4 dogs and two cats so I took him. He appears to be part Pitbull and part Chow with an attitude to match :) He and Cassie hit it off right away though and they should get along well together.
Any name ideas? I'll decide on one tomorrow.
