I built a new simple shelf unit for the shack yesterday. More real estate for a computer setup and the inevitable future equipment.
At some point I'd like to add SDR to the TS-2000 hence the monitor setup.
Give him time, he's got plenty of space to add more. He admitted to the intention, and if he's like most hams he'll end up with two or three more in pretty short order...
In fact, I'd be perfectly willing to sell him some of my surplus.
Which probably would have happened of I had any other radio than this Baofeng crap. Lesson learned... Sending this one back and looking at a Yaesu FT-60R. Analog superhet. I've heard they're recently out of production but I've read some good things about them.
