Having trouble picking up Shelby Co. Sheriff and Fire. I live in Blount Co. close to Hayden. I used to could pick them up, but now I can’t. Occasionally, Fire East will come in, but I have not picked up the Sheriff’s Dept at all. Has anything changed? What tower should I be monitoring?

You can try the Sterrett (signal mtn ) site and the Pelham site. Both are on the AFRN but you are along way away.

There's a good possibility you were hearing those talkgroups off of the Calhoun Simulcast. Fire East, SCSO and Law East were pushed to that system. Since that system has been severed from AIRS that traffic is now pushed to the Tall Co Simulcast for the benefit of Eastern Shelby coverage
