I live in the area of Shelbyville TN. I just recently started being able to pick up the city police with a DMR radio. I’ve been trying to get city fire too bc they respond to more calls and they’re calls are usually more interesting than the County fires lift assists. I got PD figured out but when I put in the frequencies for FD I get scrambled noise. It’s what PD used to sound like before I made it DMR and not digital. I’m guessing Shelbyville FD has also gone to DMR. Has anyone found there Color code, slot or Talk group yet? I think I even remember seeing at one time that on RR that they were P25 conventional. I’m not sure.

The database here on RadioReference shows the frequency for the FD is 453.825 and is NFM, not DMR.

Yes I have seen that but when on that frequency all you get is a garbled noise. Like if you listen to a DMR channel on analog. That’s why I’m thinking they also switched.

Won't swear to it but my recollection is that it is DMR. I did spend much time on it though.

I think it is too. I found a newspaper article saying “the city is moving to a digital system”. If PD did it then I’m guessing FD did too.

City is DMR, County still conventional analog. Phase 2 system is in build out phase. Hoping to go live by Jan 2024.
