What scanner are you using? Normally, the Uniden scanners skip over encrypted channels. However, if you hold the scanner on that frequency, you might see the "Enc" in the display, indicating encryption, even though you are not hearing the audio.Ok, this is not normal. Is anyone else monitoring Sherman? I have heard them once today; this is a very active channel. It is acting like Denison with random hits. I have three radios going and not a peep in the last six hours.

Talking to the TXDOT engineer that's leading the US75 widening project, the design work starts in 2024, but they won't start moving dirt until 2025. There was a proposal to do an accelerated timeline for the feeder roads in Van Alstyne and Howe making them one-way, but there was too much push back from citizens due to the lack of crossovers for some stretches. It's better this morning but some of the transmissions are clipped. Thanks.
They are going to start on the widening project from the county line in Van Alstyne to Hwy 1417 after the first of the year. Six lanes in places with quite a few new overpasses. It's gonna be a goatrope.
Good to know about the actual dirt date.Talking to the TXDOT engineer that's leading the US75 widening project, the design work starts in 2024, but they won't start moving dirt until 2025. There's a good reason why I tend to go to McKinney more than I go to Sherman, and that multi-year mess on US75 is a good part of it.

Dually noted, Sir! ThanksJust so you know, this is the REAL Sherman PD ... The two "*P25" Are unidentified but emitted exclusively as P25 "SPD Robot" is the bomb bot remote control frequencies. There, now you can enjoy Sherman the RIGHT way!

With 100 Watts of power, I might be able to pick them up in Van Alstyne with my indoor antenna (still figuring out what I'm going to build for an HOA approvable rooftop antenna), if I do, I'll make sure to get my base station to monitoring it (Haven't had a good challenge like that since Collin County joined PAWMCo). I suspect though that with a 4-site simulcast they'll probably dial down the power, but we shall see.License issued yesterday for a new trunked system in Sherman.
Looks like 5 channel 4 site simulcast.
