I thought PI was Personal Injury as in 10-50PI :) I don't know if there ever was an adopted standard, but in my latest addition of Police Call, there's a basic, and expanded APCO code list. I know in my general area that Baltimore Co., AA Co., and MSP use that list of codes.

There you go, even "plain" English can be confusing, depending on the terms used and how they are defined. Well, we won't settle it here, I'm still working on World Peace, myself! :D

Interestingly enough, I was unable to locate an official APCO 10-codes list on the APCO site. The only reference is to a past project (Project 4) where they distributed what was probably the original short list that many refer to. http://www.apcointl.org/about/past_projects.html

All other references I found were on what I would have to call "non-official" websites, in other words, not APCO, and with no verifiable attribution. And not all the websites quoting the "Official APCO" 10-codes even seem to have the same "Official" list. Even the police websites, city, county and state, don't seem to have the same "Official APCO" list. The so-called Official APCO list is beginning to look like a subject for Urban Legend status.

This is an example of what I mean by "non-official" websites. They say these are the APCO 10-codes, but there is no proof to sunstantiate their statement. With all due respect to the authors of this and other websites, I'd like to see proof of some sort. Many of these lists don't match each other, so which is THE official APCO list?

The officer was never physically hurt by this incident. She was able to avoid the swing, and get the guy on the ground. Way to go!

You have to understand, I know this guy. He is a big and strong guy. He does have a history of anger issues, and is not 100% mentally stable. His version of the story is that he knocked the officer out for 20 minutes, and they had to cart her away in the coroner wagon.... He is out of jail, but I believe he is waiting for court right now.

Yes he's out on bond and is waiting for court, which is set at the end of the month. I can't say much more on a public forum.

Sounds like another pillar of the community. Too bad she couldn't put a bullet in his head (oh, but then she'd be the one in jail)
