Skip 8/30

I got skip here in Peoria IL. The freq I got it on is on 453.150 with a 206.5 PL and I can't figure out who it is. When I listened it sounded like police.

Not sure it really is skip, probably more like thermal ducting or sporadic E? UHF frequencies generally go right through the skip layer. Look in the database for areas near you or FCC/

Thank you for helping me. I looked in database and found nothing in it and I don't know where to look in the fcc for the freq?

Could someone please help me I am running out of places to look for this freq. I can get IA and MO alot where I live so it is hard to look in my area when I can get this far. It would be greatly appreciated if I could get some help please.

Can't do it on the phone but try Advanced Search on http://reboot.fcc.gov/reform/systems/spectrum-dashboard. There are a number of FCC pages that have search thingies. HTH.
