This LTR system from Rochester, NY is coming in like a local right now in the west end of Toronto:

424 to 425 MHz and 450 to 470 MHz are full of WNY stations. I'm just using an Icom ID-50 handheld with the rubber duck. The Icom has an excellent receiver but still quite the weather inversion!

I'm here a lot
Not only that, but this is your chance to pick up Peterbrough tower on FleetNet. I'm getting it 5 bars in Toronto. Nice to hear ambulance again since all the local MOH are silent here. I'm picking up Lindsay CACC.

Yup, looks pretty good this am
Wondering if related to the smoke over the region from the wildfires out west?
