I know that there are already threads about the SMECO DMR radio system. I've been looking them over. I am just starting to get into the DMR world from the P25 world. Things are slightly different (I'm trying to work through it). I'm not always near a computer and do a fair amount of manual entry into an SDS200 wile I'm on the road. Has anyone had any luck with the SMECO system? If so what are your settings, and does the Lexington Park site have a second frequency?

Thanks in advance (also I do have the DMR upgrade activated)

Before I post this... since I'm on the DMR topic; has anyone used an SDS200 to monitor the DMR Ham systems around MD?

Not SDS200, but I used BC325P2 and BC996P2 for ham DMR and it works well. Would guess it SDS200 is the same.

You most likely won't get all the ham talkgroups, since some are PTT and only active on repeater when someone is using it on the local repeater. The ones like statewide and regional talkgroups are usually full time on the repeaters.

Yeah, I think your right. I did get them on the published frequencies with the published Color Code. I was thinking they were going to have Conventional DMR frequencies, but it seems like they are possibly two channel trunked from the five different sites like someone else posted in another thread. I had the same RX transmission across four different sites with good audio, so seems like it's doing well.
