I find it interesting that they elect to license so many frequencies for simplex operation, rather than going with a temporary Cap+ system or similar. I'm guessing it's to ensure channel availability, and perhaps since many of the radios will be assigned and "charged" to 3rd party vendors it's more straightforward from a billing perspective.

News stations keep emphasizing the increased LE presence during and leading up to the Super Bowl, including Federal resources.

Any hypotheses as to whether most primary comms will be on the RICS talkgroups, or also including some of the LASD Mutual Aid freq's. (?)

If I was a betting man, I would say about 95% of COMMS will be on LA-Rics stadium TG’s and encrypted. Maybe some of the clear event TG’s might be in use though also…

Hopefully someone streams any of the clear traffic…

FWIW, LA-RICS TG 83, Event Ops 1 was being used for EMS coordination outside of the stadium for the NFC Championship last weekend.

It was noted in LARICS board meeting last year they would be loaning radios to various agencies including FBI for the event.

Considering most regular games at the stadium have been near entirely worked by ING PD/LASD and LACoFD using LARICS TGs with exception of a random ING PD tac for outside traffic control, I would guess LARICS system is where things will be for the big game also.

Yup, FEDS have already been in the area, for set-up. On the Ground and In the Air :)

Thanks the recent license grant.

Suspect another license will be out there, as 4 active frequencies are not listed as part of the WRTF873.

It appears there might have been some changes to SoFi stadium DMR system.

Have reports of some existing frequencies indicating different color codes along with a new Site-3 appearing.

451.1875 used to be CC10, now shows CC7
451.4875 used to be CC9 now CC7
451.6875 used to be CC10 on Site 1, now CC7 and showing as new Site 3
452.1625 used to be CC9 on Site 7, now shows CC7 on Site 3
452.2375 new active frequency with CC7
452.2625 used to be CC9 now CC7

I am wondering if the entire setup (Sites 1,2,4,7) has changed?

It would be appreciated If anyone close to SoFi stadium can help track this down.
