What I was hoping would be a simple page redirect created a bit of a mess for me. Obviously I have forgotten how to flip pages when making database changes. My band-aid solution was to copy all the old page info into the updated page. What we now have is a duplication.

This is the page I would like to have deleted: FleetConnect (158) - The RadioReference Wiki which is likely an orphan now.

I copied all that information to this new page which reflects the new trunk system name: Prairie Communications - FleetConnect - The RadioReference Wiki and that is the page I would like to keep.

Apologies for the extra work but I wanted to come clean.
As they said in a Simpson's episode: "I'm from Canada and they think I'm slow,eh"

Were you trying to change the name of the current page?

Yeah, but I haven't done that in a while. Years ago, I did it all the time without issue. I've lost a few brain cells that retained that process.

The MediaWiki software is not very intuitive. The process for renaming a page is called "Move", which is under the More ˅ menu. On the next page you give it the new title.

Correct. The database structure of Mediawiki does not permit renaming articles. So, if a rename is warranted, you "move" the article to a new title. This also creates a redirect which preserves any links to the article.

I'm sure I did it manually in the past with writing the word REDIRECT in code format.
Thank you for the tip. I hope this helps others who aren't familiar on the Wiki article workings.
