Region 2 PD, just for the day.

Suppose waiting for new sites to come on line. So we are now 11 + 2 new. Some sites are both 500/700 some are 500 OR 700 stand alone.

Looks like these new sites will be exclusive to 700.
Any info on where the 2 new sites are going, saw in freeholder minutes they approved almost 1 million for radio updates/microwave etc I would assume for new towers

Peapack-Gladstone and Bernardsville. That now makes 4 sites (at least on paper) in Bville.

It has been said they would never come off low band until LSM had proper coverage.

Interesting that Fire is omitted and relegated to only the 500 side of the system. Clearly when built out there will be way more 700 coverage in that town.

The 700mhz has a capacity issue with only I believe half the number of frequencies as the 500 system, they applied to get more but were told frequencies in this area are mostly taken, they may be able to get a few 800 from what I’ve heard but that’s over a year old news now

I believe that was the case when licensed originally. Much has changed. 12 channels on modified license. That can support many many subs on TDMA. There are charts and calculations on this. In fact Site 7 on NJICS has 13 frequencies. GTR where are you?

Are u including the input frequencies as the total of 12? Or are there more outputs than the 6 listed in the database under the 700 system?

Somerset County now has 11 frequencies licensed at all 13 subsites for the 700 MHz simulcast cell.

They recently added 3 new sites (Washington Corner Rd in Bernardsville, and School House Ln in Bedminster), as well as 3 new frequencies (769.09375, 770.61875, 772.43125). Modification were granted on March 24th.

Going to wonder out loud. We are up to 11 Sites and 13 frequencies 700 Phase2.

What are the chances we begin to see some testing two tone P25 “Dispatch” TG on the system?

Union County is doing a ton of Phase II paging on site 7,well beyond a single TG. Morris County paging on P25 as well.

Seems as if T-Band giveback waiver is going no place. P25 paging might require some tone pair rework.

Side benefits would be increased paging coverage.

We use it on our county P25 system and it works great, ur either in range or not and for us ur in range pretty far, no staticky dispatches etc

For those that have had comments about Bernards signal coverage. I was up that way and poked around. I found CC 774.40626 from the cell monopole at township building. So that remains on air. Advanced search does not reveal this as a location that I could find. -90db w no antenna G5. Pill Hill found on advanced search is not on the air. The tower by Allen Rd 287/78 is on the air. Cell 700 LTE desense?

Oh and I poked around Bernardsville too. None of the 700 sites on paper are on the air (yet). What little 700 signal is present appears to come from the single Bernards site.

I read here that somerset was also issued another 3-4 700 frequencies, probably going to take a little while to get those radios added to every site
