I'll check with my contacts... I don't believe they switched over. The latest was Raritan, but they are simulcasting on both Fire High and UHF.

Thanks for checking mike, but be advised today I missed the PM test (I wasn't listening at the time it usually goes off), but today daily operations that I was listening to was on their normal frequency of 151.08500, just check around because I'm still not sure.

I still hear them on 151.085 but like you I heard county mentioned so something must be in flux.

A switch to dispatch by county does not necessarily mean they will be switching to county channels any time soon. County has been dispatching certain other departments on their local channels for years now. Unless you hear something specific about new radios then I wouldn't worry too much about it.

They're not on UHF, and won't be for some time. Somerset County has the ability to page any fire dept and rescue squad within the county with the following exceptions:

Warren Twp - All depts - This may now change as the new Comm Chief came from Warren PD.
Montgomery EMS - Will no longer be on this list as of 1/1/2009

County tries to test page all depts at least once a week, usually during the Sunday night mega test.
