ProScan: Sound capture via USB?

I currently have my speakers plugged into my PC via USB.
Can you capture sound for the RSOIP option via USB or would I need a sound capture device?

Audio doesn't ride on the USB so you will need an audio cable connected from the scanner to a sound input device except if using a SDS200 or BCD536HP. In that case, the Ethernet can provide the audio which doesn't use a sound input device.

If you don't have a sound input device then this will work.
