Hello All,
I am attempting to listen to South Brunswick I-Call but I am having so technical difficulties. I have a Uniden BCD396T and I am monitoring the South Brunswick NJ Sytem. The EDACS System is set up fine as I can hear all public safety calls of intrest. I have all my talkgroups listed under one group named "All" Then I created a second group which only has the I-Call talkgroup listed. I went to wiki and they said for the EDACS System put in the wildcard of i0000 but in the Uniden book it tells you if you put (.no) and hit (Eyes) then the wild card is put in for you. I noticed when I did what the uniden book says and put (.no) and hit (Eyes) the wild card adds an additional zero (i00000) and when I look in wiki it tells me to put (i0000) which is one zero less. Again I am listening to South brunswick EDACS Sytems. I have two questions:
1. What is the correct format for EDACS System and does the extra zero make a difference? Will this change for a Motoral System Vs a EDACS System. (ex. i0000 for EDACS and i00000 for Motorola system)
2. Did I set up talk groups correctly or should I keep the wildcard under the same groups as all my other talk groups of intrest. If I keep it under the one group vs 2 groups does this change anything, does it make a difference?
Okay I asked more than 2 questions but your assistance is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
James
