SouthStar is dispatched and operates on the State Trunk System, Talk Group 26800. If you monitor the South System you should have no problem picking it up. Needless to say, you will need to have tracking scanner to receive it. If you need information on the trunk system click on the link below:

For Landing Zone Operations (LZ Ops), they use the South Jersey Fire-Net. The frequency is 154.2650 MHz (CSQ).

The trunk system talk group is used mainly for communications between the chopper and the trauma center into which it is flying. The personnel on board give the trauma center information about the type of trauma, patient condition, vital signs, any medications they are administering to the patient, and expected time of arrival.
