Hello people,

I have come here to discuss this interesting trucked system that does not get much attention. I have noticed that many of the talk groups are becoming TDMA, I just want to bring more light to this system.

If you got r34 or higher take a peak at one of there codepulgs

When SCE went to their wide area P25 900 trunked system, there was a lot of frequency reorg and movement. Such high level sites such as Santiago Peak has less physical frequencies then it did in their analog days. Using TDMA Phase 2 let's them timeslot their voice channels for two different conversations. If I'm not mistaken, the P25 system was launched as Phase 2 from the beginning. It's an interesting system to monitor for dispatch and activity. All the trucks are also equipped with MDC's so they can receive calls and probably access the infrastructure information when needing to troubleshoot outages, etc.
