Keep in mind, when I picked up the system, I was parked just outside the facility gate and as I was on 84 heading back towards Waco the system dropped out not far outside of McGregor on my mobile rig (which I admit doesn't have the greatest of antennas to begin with, but it works for my use) - so short of a very big high gain base antenna, your chances of picking it up in Waco is slim.
Unfortunately, with my new day job I don't have many opportunities to go down there during the week (it's a 2 1/2 hour drive each way for me from Grayson County) and spend the time needed to really monitor the system to identify additional frequencies and talkgroups (even if I can't hear them, the talkgroups still get logged on the mobile rig).
Don't get me started on the Starlink facility in Bastrop - that's 4 hours each way. I'm hoping the day job will send me to Austin later this summer for a couple of days on a project in our office there - if that happens, I'll try and make a side trip to Bastrop.
