SDS100/SDS200: speed up repair process

SDS200 Micro SD Plug not receiving/sending data to scanner. I have tried several cables and none work. same cables work on my other 200 - every time.
Time to send scanner to Uniden for repair. To expedite turn-around-time, is it customary to include a check for the $94.95 with the scanner ?

Don't send payment with the unit.
They received mine last Wednesday,
I received an email yesterday, it's repaired.
Included was a link to pay.
$100.89. For a SDS-100.

As above, they will send an invoice, also they tax it.
