Spen 1 Dead Carrier

Been on the air most of the day dead carrier w 131.8.

For me not much of a signal, -100db. The Newark relay does not hear it but the signal
does mix in the receiver. The receiver will hang open if it gets tagged.

Middlesex relay hears it really good.

Not on the desk as no background anything.

My guess is in the following County areas. Burlington, Ocean, Monmouth.

Being it is a holiday, likely going to be there a while.

Been hearing it up in Morris County. Signal is strong depending of course where you are listening. There is also a single
beep being transmitted every time I hear it come up. Sounds like the over the air trouble reporting is turned on. Don't
remember the number of beeps or what they represented except that I had a PA failure on a GTR 8000 and it put
out 3 beeps pver the air. It's still going on as of 11:32 this morning. Supprised that the issue has not been addressed by now
since this has been going all weekend long.

I am getting the single tone in Bergen County as well.

Yes A/C power fail most likely. This is a different transmitter than the constant carrier.

That has been cleared with. (3) letter agency, so I am told. Now onto the next one.

Is it a coincidence that this weekend Essex County Fire Mutual Aid was in same mode? That has cleared.

And this has just cleared at 15:47, will the meowing cats be back at play, my goodness, beware though some very capable folks will locate you!

Easy as 123 with modern technology.

in MANY cases the TRAINED coml's and comt's have been replaced by people who are not trained radio operators. to me it sounds like someone with enough knowledge to be dangerous fulfilled that mission.
