Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8530/5.0.0.654 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/398)

I purchased a PSR-310 in March, and was disappointed that the Spectrum Sweeper didn't have an auto-store feature? Is this something that could be addressed in a firmware upgrade? I had never even considered that it wouldn't auto-store, so didn't bother to check. Otherwise its an amazing scanner.

I'm no expert in the RS/GRE scanner department, but I don't believe there is an auto-store feature like Uniden had (my 396XT had it, and I haven't found anything similar on my PRO-106). There has been a workaround established. Type in all the frequencies that you would search and save it as a scan list, then enable hit counts. It won't save your tone/NAC but it will let you know what is active. More details can be found here:

Hope this might help some.

Also, if you can tie it to a computer, most any programming software has a logging feature that will record frequency info and even audio.

I modified my PSR-600 (by tapping into the switch which opens/closes the audio circuit to the speaker when a signal is received) and added a reed relay which automatically presses the F1 button when a signal is received. A switch on the back of the scanner enables/disables the feature. This is great as it locks out frequencies from searches (including Spectrum Sweeper) and even wildcard talkgroups while I am away from the house.

This idea came from some of the old scanner modifications which added a REM plug for a tape recorder. Instead of turning a motor off and on the relay simply presses the contacts to the F1 button.
