Does anyone have frequencies for the show this weekend?
I'm assuming they will be using the Unicom for the Airport and some freqs from London, does anyone know the airboss freq?

Its a C-17 Globemaster III from Elmendorf AFB, Alaska not a C160. And it is still iffy if the SB's are going to make it. The Airforce has enough modified seats, but the question is can they get them installed in time.
If the snowbirds don't make it, don't expect the Hawk One to be there too, it uses the same seat.

Moonbounce, thanks for the freqs i'll program them in, and get you the confirmed ones, I'll be going on Sunday, hope the weather holds out.

St Thomas Unicom is 122.7
London Ground is 121.9
London Tower is 119.4

I'll try to get the MilAir for london out of my Flight Supplement.

Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Golden Centennaire and Hawk One Status

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Golden Centennaire and Hawk One are still on an operational pause as they await further results of the ongoing investigation into the Ballistic Disconnect Link Assembly on the CT-114 Tutor and F-86 Sabre aircraft. At this time they cannot confirm their ability to take part in Wings and Wheels 2, but have multiple people working extremely hard to identify and resolve the problem. The safety and security of their crews and spectators is their number one priority. These three demonstration teams would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding in this matter.

245.7 was used at the last airshow in London that I went to, which was the last airshow for London, it was used for plane to plane comm. I heard one snowbird tell another that a strap was hanging out side the plane just after take off, and you could hear the lead plane call the shots.

269.2 used by U.S.A pilots returning home to call Cleveland center.

So far I have seen an F18 fly over London time approx. 1430 hrs, almost rear ended a city bus trying to catch a glimpse.
Got home, turned on the scanner and almost immediately 254.7 came on, don't know if it was airshow related or a military plane flying in Michigan but it was quite active. 245.750 also was on but it was unitelligible, not sure if it is the computer causing the channel to make noise or if it was the S/B just to low to pick up.
So guess what I will be doing Friday, Sat, and Sunday? If you guessed working, you win the door prize. At least I will be able to bring the scanner with me as I work alone.

Remember folks, please post any freq. you hear as we will be more prepared next year.

You must be a Security Guard or something to be working alone on a weekend, seems like guards are the only ones.

The Canadian Forces Snowbirds, Golden Centennaire and Hawk One were released from the operational pause Friday.. Snowbirds should be fully checked out by morning. Fingers crossed, they don't find anything major.
