Stamford FD has stopped multicasting the dispatch on the VHF permanently. Im told it was for the vollys pagers but they have all migrated to G4s

Sad as it had great coverage

That thing was a flame thrower. I remember you could hear it without much trouble in the Hartford area. That's too bad. It's a shame some buffs couldn't come together to privately finance to have it turned on for other buffs.

Its a shame it was great to listen to them from anywhere, But the fire dispatch does come over the Troop G system, none of the other fire channels do but at least you can hear the dispatch channel

Oh, that'll do it. That and danbury med 9 used to scream into hartford area.

I used to hear them sometimes near Newark, NJ. Newark was on the same frequency at the time.
