Standoff @ Meadowbrook

Anyone else listen to the standoff at the meadowbrook apartments last night / this morning? I went to sleep listening to it and was surprised to hear it was still going on when I woke up.

The announcements TPD was making on the north tactical channel always seemed targeted towards the female, and not the males that ended up getting arrested. Weird.

Yeah I heard some of it on my way to work this morning. Some pretty good "announcements" made on the TAC Channel had me LMAO. I wish these guys would listen to the tapes of this stuff after it's done to see how bad they sound. Stuff like " I know you've had run-ins with the Police in the past and the outcome wasn't that good for you, so lets change that today and come on out of the Apt." was just one of several that had me going.......

What got me was that when they gave up they found 2 males in the Apt. when I heard them calling on the occupants to come out they only thought that there was a Male, Female and the 6 year old in there.

Yes, basically I thought when I went to bed that the female was the one holding everyone hostage. They were making the announcement saying that "Your grandma just wants you to surrender" and such. When I woke up the first announcement I heard was "We've been trying to call you but no one answered, if you need a phone let us know and we'll send one in." I thought it was pretty funny that it took 6+ hours for them to come up with the idea to send a phone in.

"lets talk on the phone. I know your afraid but I can make all those fears go away".....My thought was if I was him. Theres no way in the world you could take away the fear of whats going to happen to me when this is over. Especially when I get to prison. I dont care if they do have soap on a rope.

Tulsa World: Two held after lengthy Tulsa standoff

I listened to a few hours of it, TPD sounded confused...as always, thought I understood in the beginning that the male had the female hostage, and if I remember right they even had to call out the bomb squad because there was talk of a "device"...probably nothing more than your average every day run of the mill household kitchen blender, but I guess you can never be to safe.
