According to the Illinois Grants, site 130 at Grant Park was granted a new frequency, 852.9125, this frequency is presently the control channel at Bradley site 116. The grant also shows new emission designators for LSM and phase 2 transmissions on all frequencies presently listed at this site. With Kankakee County Type II system coming to an end of life, and Kankakee switching to StarCom additional capacity would need to be added to Kankakee County. The question is how many locations will this simulcast site have, and will they eliminate site 116 in Bradley and site 129 in Bonfield. Will have to keep an eye on this.
